Wedding Quilt

I just wanted to show you a quick glance at the wedding quilt I made for Jennifer and Jeremy.  Jennifer did not want a traditional double wedding ring quilt so I had this pattern with the cross "fussy cut" and decided to make it for them.

This is the first quilt I made since Amber went to Heaven and I spent many hours last fall and winter crying while I sat at the sewing machine.  It is not perfect by any means but Jennifer loves it.  She had taken it to her house right after the shower and I hadn't even snipped off all of the threads!
I brought it back to my house to embroider a label with their names and the date of the wedding, etc.  I finished sewing on the binding the night before the shower ... about 1 a.m. in the morning.  I fell asleep with the needle and thread in my hand :)  I know the quilt will be cherished for many years to come.  Jennifer says she cuddled under it the few nights she had it with her and wants it back now!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend here in the US.

Blessings,
Donna

MY DEAR DONNA,
AMBER AND AMY...AMY AND AMBER...I THINK OF YOU EVERY DAY...WHAT CAN I SAY...OUR EYES SAY WHAT OUR HEARTS FEEL.
JENNIFER IS SO BLESSED TO HAVE SUCH AN AWESOME MOTHER AND YOU ARE BLESSED WITH TWO BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS...ONLY AMBER WENT AHEAD AS WELL AS MY AMY. I DON'T LIKE IT BUT I TRUST GOD KNOWING HE KNOWS ALL THINGS AND ONE DAY WE WILL HUG THEM AGAIN...OH WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE AND YOU AND I AND OUR DAUGHTERS WILL REJOICE BEFORE THE LORD.
RICHARD AND I SPENT AN HOUR AND A HALF AT AMY'S RESTING PLACE YESTERDAY. IT WAS VERY SAD...WE LAUGHED AND CRIED. WE CHANGED ALL HER DECORATIONS AND ADDED SOME FUN PIN WHEELS THAT JUST BLEW AND GLITTERED IN THE SUN.
THE QUILT YOU MADE IS SO BEAUTIFUL. JENNIFER WILL TREASURE IT FOREVER...SHE DRAWS COMFORT FROM IT KNOWING ALL THE LOVE YOU PUT INTO IT...THAT IS WHY SHE WANTS IT BACK TO CUDDLE UNDER......
I HAVE READ ALL THE POSTS THROUGH MOTHERS' DAY. I LOVE THAT SOUP TUREEN ESPECIALLY WITH THE BOLD GREEN APPLES...IT WAS STUNNING. JENNIFER LOOKS JUST LIKE HER BEAUTIFUL MOTHER.
MY WORD, WITH ALL THESE WEDDING THINGS, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW YOU HAVE TIME TO LOOK AT A COMPUTER. EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS AND WE ARE HERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU POST. I HAD TO GO TO THE DR. THEY ARE RUNNING A BUNCH OF LAB WORK.
MY HAIR IS FALLING OUT BY THE HANDFULS. MY BEAUTY OPERATOR CUT IT REAL SHORT AND IF I DID NOT HAVE THICK HAIR TO START WITH, I WOULD BE BALD BY NOW. SO THE STORY GOES ON.
LOVE YOU MY FRIEND
