Sue at It's A Very Cherry World is hosting her weekly Rednesday.  This is my very first time to participate.

I have always loved polka dots and the color red has been showing up more in my kitchen lately.

This is an adorable teapot (I love teapots) I purchased at Homegoods after the 4th of July.  It still has the blue and white bow on it whick was attached when I purchased it.  I unpacked it the other day and put it in my new pantry along with all my other goodies!
I also bought the little red pedestal it is perched on.

And this is a project I have been working on this week.  I have appliqued 16 handtowels for a friend with initials. I love to machine applique.

These were some of the red ones. I love the "S" ... my last name begins with an "S". I think she is giving these to Alabama football fans. The other towels are for Auburn football fans with orange and blue, but since this post is about reds I didn't show those.
Please go by and visit Sue's blog and see what other participants are sharing.

As always thanks for visiting!

I love to machine applique too!! You and I need to live closer to each other. We would be such good friends, as we have so much in common. Your towels are great! It makes me want to do some. What great gifts! Did you print your alphabet letters online? Other than Christmas, I have very little red in my house, but I do like it. I guess I have always just been a blue person. I am heading to the beach after work on Wednesday with a dear friend. Love & blessings from NC!

What a fun little teapot! I found 3 little plates that would match it perfectly last week. I'm on the hunt for more.

I'm impressed with your blanket stitch around those appliques! Very nicely done, Donna! I enlarged your photo twice so I could see the wonderful details. They will be welcome gifts, for sure!

Thanks, too, for that link to Sues Cherry World. I think I'll join her party this week, as my tablescape is very cherry!! LOL

Would you believe I have the matching pitcher, with the blue ribbon and everything, from Home Goods? Of course you would, we have the same taste! :-)

Donna, how nice that Linda at Prairie Flower Farm wrote of your special comment and your desire to give Amber a hug for Christmas. And you know, I'm sure Amber would love to hug you one more time as well.

Here's an internet squeeze for you. I know it's not the same, but I wish you lots of happiness until you and Amber are hugging again.
