I love decorating with all the colors of the Autumn season. We have not had any crisp fall days so far ... it has been in the 90's here. Maybe in a couple of weeks we will have cooler temperatures. In the meantime I will turn down the thermostat and pretend it is cooler.
This is the arrangement I put together for my coffee table. I used a large silver platter I bought at an auction and filled it with pumpkins, sunflowers and leaves. When I purchased the platter I had no idea what I would use it for. It had been on my kitchen countertop (taking up space) and I needed a place to put it so I used it for my arrangement.
A huge sunflower ... love the colors and the texture.
I also added the feathered pheasant to the arrangement along with an acorn I purchased this year at Hobby Lobby.

I bought those sunflowers years ago in a reddish color and this year I bought the green one. I have plans for it. I love them. Yours look good. Saw you at Table Top Tues.
Donna, this is just gorgeous! I know what you mean about the cool temperatures. I am just itching to start making soups and it's just too stinkin' hot!
Although I did make one today - Green Pea - made with frozen peas not split peas. Baby Bee and Worker Bee BOTH said it was a make again. I go it from the Martha Stewart website. Are you a soup maker?
Donna, that is a gorgeous arrangement! I love it. I am so looking forward to the fall season, although right now our temps are still in the 90's and it feels like summer, not fall. I love fall baking, the leaves turning, football games, wearing fall sweaters, pumpkins, etc. I can't wait to see what you are embroidering. My Grandmother taught me how to embroider when I was a little girl and I used to embroider tea towels. I wish I had all her old transfer patterns. Take care. Love & blessings from NC!

Oh I love this pretty arrangement. Those colors are just so gorgeous -- I'm looking forward to a little bit of fall weather but I won't complain if summer lingers a little -- 80's ok -- 90's go away!
