Time Change ...

The time change has me so confused.  It takes me several weeks to adjust to it being nearly dark outside at 5 p.m. :(
The evenings seem so long!  I have been busy finishing up my quilt that I began a few weeks ago and some other Christmas projects.
Jennifer and I went to Christmas Village in Birmingham on Friday and had a great time.  It is a huge craft show with hundreds of vendors and it was very crowded.  We saw some beautiful items and we both made some great purchases.  Jennifer is just fun to be around and always makes me laugh.  I don't know how I would have survived without her and my husband this past year.
I decided tonight this would be my next project.  I purchased the fabric and pattern for a Christmas tote several weeks ago.  I hope to make it this week if all goes as planned.  I saw it made up at a quilt shop and it will be fun to carry for the holiday season.

Well I've got to get busy.  I need to go back to my sewing room and do some more of my Christmas crafts.

Thanks for visiting and God Bless!
Donna

Donna, that pattern is adorable and I LOVE your choice of fabrics. So pretty!!! Such beautiful colors! I can't wait to see it made up. Won't it be fun to have a Christmas bag? You will really enjoy it. I love bags of any kind. Each thing I do has it's own bag.... knitting bag, Bible study bag, work bag, card class bag, etc. When I get ready to go out the door, I just grab the bag that goes with the event. It helps keep me organized!!! Enjoy your sewing projects! I knew you would have fun with Jennifer at the Christmas Market. I'm sure you saw some pretty things. Love & blessings from NC!

Glad you and Jennifer enjoyed the craft show. I use to go to a lot of them, but not so much the last couple of years. Looking forward to seeing your Christmas tote when you get it made.
Have a great week.

I so enjoy hearing about your and Jennifer's outings and all the fun you both have. I think she enjoys decorating as much as you do and you both are so good at it. Love the tote and knowing you it will be beautiful. Big hugs from Canada.....:-) Hugs

Oh I can't wait to see this! Your sewing is inspiring me. I am really - no I mean REALLY - going to think more about sewing. A plan is formulating.....

I'm so glad Amber had a little something sent to you via Melinda.

Wow I love those fabrics for your tote!!! This time change stuff is for the birds, it is pitch black outside before we even close now, so by the time I get off of work, I feel like going home and straight to bed. I have so much to do, and no energy to do it. Maybe I will get out the Christmas tree this weekend, and start putting it up, should be done by Thanksgiving, and that will help get more in the mood. Can't wait to see that finished tote, please post photos.

I have just been looking at tote patterns online, but haven't found one nearly as pretty as this. How fun to have a Christmas bag too!

I am not a fan of the time change, but I will admit that it makes me think of winter and holidays more. :)

Love from Texas!

Donna, that's a really cute bag. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Your fabrics are pretty. When you write about your mother-daughter trips with Jennifer, it makes me miss my own mother so much! She lives in Tucson, so I rarely get to see her. Until I was bout 29, I lived about 30 minutes from her, and we'd always get together and do stuff. I miss that!

Donna, I like this bag! Looking forward to seeing your finished project.

I have a tote that I use when I Christmas shop, and it helps keep the small things from getting lost in the car.

I was supposed to go to B'ham for the craft show, but missed out this year because it coincided with my trip to Ohio. Was it great? I always get so much inspiration from the show...and get into the holiday mood! Cute fabric for the tote!
