Lil' Bo Peep Ironing Board

Okay ... I admit I am a hoarder when it comes to keeping my girls toys as they were growing up.  We always taught Amber and Jennifer to take care and appreciate their toys.
I was in the basement today and I saw this Lil' Bo Peep ironing board hanging on the wall.  I thought how cute it would be hanging in my sewing room.
This brings back so many sweet memories!  I can just see Amber or Jennifer standing and "ironing" their baby's clothes :)

This little ironing board is only about 20 inches long. They were very little when they "used" it.  It has scratches on it but it is at least 28 years old.  I have pictures with them ironing with it!  They played so well as little girls together as long as Amber was the "boss"! LOL
Now I am on the hunt to find the iron that goes with it!  I have kept every toy they ever had as children.   I still have every Barbie doll they ever owned along with lots of Fisher Price toys you just don't see now in stores.
I wonder what I will find as I organize the basement?
Oh the memories!

Thanks for visiting and God Bless!
Donna

Donna,
This is so sweet and cute too! I so understand about Amber always being the boss...Haley was always Mary Claire's boss:) I can't say I kept all of them, but I did save some special ones.

Blessings,
Linda

That is just wonderful. I literally gasped when I saw it because it was so cute. I'm so glad you are hanging it up in your sewing room. It will make you smile every time you see it! It would also look cute in a laundry room. I'm not very good at saving Elsa's toys. Things get too cluttered! She has so much, it's sort of sickening. But I will save her American Girl Doll stuff for her (though my husband wants us to be rid of it!). So cute.

OH, it is so sweet!! I'm so glad you saved it!! It's perfect to hang in your sewing room. It will remind you of sweet memories every time you see it. I save everything of the girls too. Sometimes I do need to pitch some things, but it's hard to do it. Thanks so much for sharing, Donna. :-)

Donna, that ironing board is precious!! What a wonderful addition to your sewing room. My girls used to iron too, but they never had an ironing board that cute! Theirs was plastic. I hope you can find the iron. I saved lots of my girls toys, books, dolls, stuffed animals and special clothes/dresses. I hope my Grandchildren can enjoy them someday. Love & blessings from NC!

I kept a lot of my children's toys also (mainly dolls) and sent them home with them, when they established their own homes.
Thanks for stopping by. We did not get the predicted snow - just a very light dusting and that is just fine with me. :)
Enjoy your day.

Donna, I love that you've kept the girls' toys. I always wish my mother did, I don't have a thing to give to my kids. The ironing board is SOOO cute! It will look great in your sewing room!!

Oh, this is adorable. how precious that you kept it after all these years and now you have it out on display again :) :) Love it...Have you tried looking on eBay to see if you might find an iron to go with it? Assuming you don't still have that in your home somewhere? This is so precious!!! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

You are a soul sister. We have all of Sarah's things, too. No wonder my house is so full. I love Mother Goose items and would love that ironing board at my house. ♥♫

I love collecting childrens things. I don't have kids but I still love all the little things in vintage! Bo Peep is adorable!!!! Just adore all the colors!
I have my eye on a high chair from the 1940's! A little too pricy for me, but maybe they will mark it down! (fingers and toes crossed!)

That is so awesome that you have kept all their toys. When my kids grew up most of their toys were given away, or they sold them. One daughter did keep her My Little Ponies and now her daughter is playing with them. She has actually gone on eBay and bought some of the same F-P toys that she and her siblings once had. I have an old wooden ironing board that once belonged to a cousin. Sorry, she's never had kids so it's mine now! Who knows where the irons are! In a box, somewhere! Love Bo Peep. So cute!
