Christmas Apron

I adore this Christmas apron made from a vintage tablecloth.  Cindy from Retro Revival made this cutie for a giveaway and I won!

Notice how she placed the candles, holly and candy canes for the apron! She makes the most adorable aprons and shower caps.  You have to go visit her blog.  So delightful!

I wanted to have my husband take a pic of me wearing it but it hasn't happened yet.  His mother has been very sick and he hasn't been here much (at the hospital).
So I put it on my dress stand.

I adore vintage linens and this is definitely a treasure to me.  I will wear it while baking and hope I don't get anything on it :)

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Donna

Hi Donna,

Oh, congrats on winning the beautiful apron. I thought it had a really nice vintage look before I read the rest of your blog post, here :) I'll go check out Cindy's site :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :) :) :)

Donna, I'm delighted that you like your apron:) Thank you for mentioning my blog, I really appreciate it. Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law; hope she's on the mend soon. Enjoy baking and don't worry about making a mess of your apron ~ it'll wash up nicely!

You have a treasure there! People may not realize how the placement of the pattern affects the finished piece! This work is wonderful. Isn't "WINNING" fun?♥♫

Love that apron! Now I know what to do with my mother's tablecloths when I inherit them. I came across a blog where a lady made an apron from vintage, worn-out pillowcases. I have some of those, (if I can just find them!) and plan on making an apron like that but these are heirloom cases so I would never actually WEAR it! I'm way too messy!
