Christmas in the Piano Room

My Christmas tree in the piano room.   I took this picture at night.  Lots of gold on this tree and tons of ornaments!

I posted the mantle here.

Cedar chest display.
The ornaments under the glass were from our first Christmas tree thirty-four years ago.  My sweet little deer are paper mache I painted and glittered.

More ornaments in a candle holder.
My mother's glasses and my grandfather's watch ... treasures!

The top of the piano with more of Amber's snow village.
The gold ornaments were my mother-in-laws.
And you can't have Christmas without an angel!  I have collected Precious Moments for years.  I've had this angel for over fifteen years.  She stays out all year long.   She doesn't get packed away in a box.  She just makes me smile :)

I have a busy week ahead.  My girlfriends from high school are coming to my house on Wednesday to eat and share a few laughs.

Thanks for visiting!

I am joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for TTT.

Hi Donna! OH, your tree is gorgeous and so full! I love seeing all of your decorations around your lovely home! I have that same picture as you - the one hung over your piano. It was my mother's and I always adored it. She gave it to me in the early 80s. She had a Stanley products parties in the 1950s and this was her hostess gift. I just treasure it and I have it hanging by my piano too.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Oh my gosh Donna, everything is so beautiful. I love your displays of things that are so tender to your heart. Your first Christmas tree ornaments, your mom's glasses and grandfathers watch, and of course Amber's gorgeous Village and your Precious Moments Angel. It all says, "Come in, I'm a warm and loving home and a comfortable place to sit and visit for a while". You know...I have collected Precious Moments for years too. I don't have them displayed right now because we did some remodeling last winter and added a corner gas log fireplace to my small living room. Now my mothers grandfather clock stands in the corner that held my PM collection and the clock means more to me that things that I collected for myself. BUT...I have the ones that were special gifts to me surrounding me in my sewing room and they include the Indian Princess Doll with the Papoose in her arms that my hubby gave me for Mother's Day years ago. I also have my great grandfathers glasses and an old, old dictionary that was my grandfathers. I also kept my mom's glasses and several of her crocheted hankies. I love to be surrounded with things that hold a special place in my heart. It looks like you are the same. Yours is a bit more organized than mine, LOL...but the sentiment is the same. Thanks so much for sharing and have a wonderful time with your friends Wednesday. Big Hugs...

Hi Donna, this is my first time visiting your blog and I wanted to say your piano room is simply beautiful. I love the colors you've decorated with. My favorite is the cup with your treasures in it.

I happened upon your blog while searching for the name and artist of a painting that used to be at my Mimi's. After week's of searching, I turned up your site and learned enough from the comments to discover that her painting (and yours) was R Brownell McGrew's Morning Melody. I'm so glad you shared your pictures. The Christmas decorations are lovely and I'm thrilled to finally know WHAT I am looking for!
