I have worked on this quilt called Sweet Tea forever! I finally finished putting on the borders yesterday. I am so glad to have this quilt top finished.
This is not a great pic but it's the best I could do with the lighting. There are teacups around the border. The fabric for the ribbon border is actually a dark burgundy ....it shows up darker in the pic. I will have to add the "tea bags" after it is quilted and a few buttons here and there. I posted about this quilt top here.
I am so glad it is stitched together. There's paper piecing, machine applique and piecing in this quilt. It feels good to have a large project completed! Now I have to find the perfect backing for it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for visiting,
Hugs,
Donna

Hi, my sweet friend, You've been busy! The quilt looks so cute-I think my favorite teapot is the one in the middle row on the right side (maybe it is in each row?). Also your blog looks very bright and cheerful. We have a snow day today because of the wind and snow and Monday off--that means I have FOUR days at home! So I need to get up and get busy! Hugs to you.♥♫
How pretty! You are a lot more patient than I am - I would never be able to pull that off. Great job!
Donna what a perfectly cheery quilt you have. Love the colors and I would hang this up just to admire it...lol
Love your blog transformation...it took me by surprise when I clicked on....but I love it!!!!!!
Love the flowers surrounding Amber's picture.
Hugs and keep smiling..Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham
It looks just great! I love how it turned out. Can't wait to see it quilted. For now, just sit and pet it for a while. :-)
Gorgeous... and now that it's finished just sit down and relax... with a cup of tea.
Oh my! How beautiful! I adore your tea quilt! My SIL would love something like that! Might have to get you to teach me how to do this! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
I love it! I'm partial to tea cups and tea pots. I have a small collection of each.

Hi Donna,
Your quilt is adorable. I really like the teacups around the border :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of CAlifornia, Heather :)
Very cute! I especially like the border with the tea cups!
Congratulations on your finish, Donna!
Love the ribbon border. I've never done anything like that before.
Looove your new header!
It is great to finish up a project isn't it. I'm wondering if that ribbon border was a bugger to work with. It really sets of the design, though. You did a nice job.
Yay! You must feel so accomplished finishing this lovely quilt! BTW, loving your new blog header pictures:)
