Tiny Town ...

I have been working on the quilt blocks for Tiny Town.  I posted about it here and here a few weeks ago.
I have so many little pieces of fabric all over my sewing room waiting to be cut out. It reminds me of my childhood cutting out paper dolls :)
I love the colors in these blocks. They are so Spring-like and make me happy!
Another quilt block in progess.

I really need to begin stitching around all the pieces.  I try to have all the blocks ready to applique so I can save time on changing threads for each piece.  I like to stitch all the blues at one time and each of the reds together, etc.

I purchased the fabric for my Sweet Tea quilt last week.  It will be April before the quilter can get it quilted.  I am really trying to finish some projects this year.  I have another quilt I will share later this week that I completed.

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Donna

Little girls that loved playing with paper dolls just grow up to be big girls playing with fabric. You quilt is darling.

Donna, it's so bright and cheery. How fun! It will be so relaxing to sit down and start sewing on the edges!

Sounds like you are getting a lot done. I cut out and played with paper dolls a lot when I was a little girl, but never got into quilting. :D
Enjoy your day.

These houses are adorable, you're doing a wonderful job selecting the perfect fabric for each piece. That's a smart idea, to have several blocks ready to applique at once. Keep at it!!

Wow, the intricate work involved in this one is quite impressive! And it DOES look a lot like the paper dolls we all played with back in the day ~ super sweet:)

Hi!
I have the very same vintage sewing machine as the one that is in your banner! Do you actually sew with yours? Mine works beautifully, but without the zigzag feature, I use my Kennmore....more!

Nice to have met you. I hope you will stop by to see me too.
